The Twin Cities is home to the cream of the crop when it comes to theater and, each year, the Ivey Awards celebrate the best of the best in show biz and need a campaign to help spread the good word. Usually that’d consist of a few posters here and there, but the Art Director and I took it upon ourselves to create for them the biggest media spash they’d seen. Ever. All on a diddly-squat nonprofit budget. Remind me later to tell you about the weekends spent gluing ping-pong balls to bbq skewers to create life-size pins and stuffing an 12ft dress made of paper into the trunk of a Toyota Corolla.
